Quality Analyst (QA)

About the role

Quality here is not a gate at the end. You will be involved while requirements are still being written, because the cheapest defect to fix is the one caught in a conversation. The goal is a team that ships often and confidently, not one that ships carefully because it is afraid.

You will decide what deserves automation and what is better served by structured exploratory testing — over-automating a changing interface wastes as much time as testing nothing. Expect real ownership of the release decision, and the standing to say something is not ready.

What you'll do

  • Design test strategies and plans for web and API-based platforms
  • Build and maintain automated test suites (E2E, integration, API)
  • Execute structured manual and exploratory testing where it matters
  • Track defects with clear reproduction and severity assessment
  • Champion quality practices across engineering teams

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years in software quality assurance or test engineering
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
  • API testing proficiency and basic SQL for data validation
  • Meticulous attention to detail with pragmatic prioritization

Nice to have

  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Accessibility testing against WCAG standards
  • Performance or load testing experience
  • Exposure to security testing fundamentals

Your first 90 days

What success looks like early on, so you know how you will be measured before you accept.

  1. 01Assess current test coverage across active projects and identify the riskiest gaps
  2. 02Stand up an automated regression suite running in CI on at least one platform
  3. 03Establish defect triage and severity conventions the team adopts
