Effective date: July 23, 2026 · SparkSolutions, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the SparkSolutions website (sparksol.ca), our business communications, our recruitment process, and the delivery of our services. It is written to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy legislation.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information reasonably required for the purpose it serves:
- Contact information you provide through our inquiry form or by email (name, company, business email, phone number, and the content of your message).
- Recruitment information you submit when applying for a role (resume, contact details, and application correspondence).
- Employee information required to administer employment, accessed only through the authenticated employee portal.
- Technical information generated by your visit (browser type, pages viewed, and approximate region) used in aggregate to operate and improve the website.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries, evaluate candidates, administer employment, deliver contracted services, meet legal obligations, and maintain the security of our systems. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for purposes beyond those it was collected for without consent.
4. Disclosure
We disclose personal information only to service providers who process it on our behalf under confidentiality obligations (for example, cloud hosting and email providers), where required by law, or with your consent. Service providers may store data outside of Canada; where they do, we select providers with recognized security and privacy practices.
5. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Recruitment records for unsuccessful candidates are retained for up to twelve months unless you request earlier deletion.
6. Safeguards
We protect personal information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards proportionate to its sensitivity — including encryption in transit, access controls, and the security engineering practices described on our Security page.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent to its use subject to legal and contractual restrictions. To exercise these rights, contact our privacy officer at ignite@sparksol.ca. You may also file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Changes to this policy
We review this policy periodically and post updates on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the website.
