FAQ
Straight answers about AI and automation.
The questions we hear most from businesses weighing whether — and how — to automate. No jargon, no hype.
What is business process automation?
+
Business process automation is using software to carry out repetitive, rules-based, or well-understood work that people would otherwise do by hand — data entry, approvals, reconciliation, reporting, scheduling, and the coordination between systems. Done well, it reduces manual effort and errors while making the work consistent and auditable.
How is AI automation different from traditional automation?
+
Traditional automation follows fixed rules you define in advance. AI automation can be given a goal and work out the steps itself, adapting when inputs vary. That makes it suitable for judgment-adjacent work — reading documents, answering common questions, summarizing, classifying — that rigid rules could never handle reliably. Most real systems combine both.
How much does an automation or software project cost?
+
The honest answer is that the build price is only one of three costs — build, change (training and process adjustment), and run (hosting and maintenance). A small, well-scoped automation of a single high-volume workflow is far less than a full platform. We scope every engagement to a specific business outcome so the cost is tied to measurable value, not open-ended.
How long does it take to see results?
+
For a focused first project — automating one clear, high-volume process — organizations often see results within weeks, not quarters. We deliberately start narrow and measurable so value is proven early, which also de-risks the larger program that follows.
How do I know if my business is ready to automate?
+
The strongest candidates are processes that are high-volume, stable (they do not change shape every few weeks), costly when done wrong, dependent on too few people, or simply the thing your team keeps complaining about. If a process shows three or more of these, it is usually ready.
Should we build custom software or buy an off-the-shelf tool?
+
Buy when the process is a solved, commodity problem thousands of companies run the same way. Build when the process is part of how you actually compete and a generic tool would erode your advantage. Often the best answer is buying the commodity layers and building the thin slice that is genuinely yours, connected by integration.
