1. Integrity
We are honest in what we say and what we build. We do not oversell, we do not misrepresent our work or our results, and we tell clients the truth even when it is not what they hoped to hear. If we make a mistake, we own it and put it right.
2. Client trust and confidentiality
Clients trust us with sensitive information and access to critical systems. We treat that trust as the foundation of our business. We keep client information confidential, use it only for the purpose it was shared, and protect it with the security practices described in our Security policy.
3. Respect and inclusion
We treat everyone — colleagues, clients, candidates, and the public — with respect and professionalism. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment on the basis of any personal characteristic. 4. Responsible technology
We build technology, including AI, that we would be comfortable having built for us. We hold ourselves to the commitments in our Responsible AI statement: accuracy over hype, human oversight, careful data handling, and the discipline to say when a technology is not the right answer.
5. Conflicts of interest
We avoid situations where personal interests could compromise our judgment or our obligations to a client. Where a potential conflict arises, we disclose it and address it openly rather than letting it go unspoken.
6. Lawful conduct
We comply with the laws that apply to our business, including privacy, employment, intellectual property, and anti-corruption law. We do not offer or accept bribes or improper inducements, and we expect the same of the partners we work with.
7. Raising concerns
Anyone — an employee, a client, or a member of the public — who believes this code has been breached is encouraged to tell us. Concerns can be raised in confidence by emailing ignite@sparksol.ca. We take such concerns seriously and do not retaliate against anyone who raises one in good faith.
